A Warm Place with Open Doors
St Mary Magdalene is a small friendly church located in the beautiful English city of Norwich. We would love to welcome you to our Sunday services at 9.30am, when we celebrate the Eucharist, and afterwards have refreshments in the hall. The service includes music, a sermon, and prayers. There’s no reserved seating or formal etiquette in church so please do sit where you like. After the service there is always time to catch up with friends.
Our daily 30-minute Morning Prayer service is at 9.00am (not usually on Tuesdays), and we have Eucharist at 10.00am every Wednesday.
St Mary Magdalene belongs to the Church of England Diocese of Norwich and is part of the Sprowston and North Norwich Team Ministry.
According the Norfolk Record Office, "The church of St Mary Magdalene in Silver Road was built in 1903 as a district church in the parish of St James with Pockthorpe; the separate ecclesiastical parish of St Mary Magdalene was created by Order in Council in 1909.
